Iconoclast dies

The City of Ovilla mourned the loss of George Mulholland last week, a fiery critic of what he alleged were secretive deals and large tax increases approved without voter’s approval.

Mulholland, who ran for city council and mayor numerous times, saw his wish come true on May 10, as every sitting incumbent councilman was defeated for re-election.

A scientist by trade who came in during the Superconducting SuperCollider, Mulholland held a sizable e-mail list following his updates on council actions and decisions.

His cause of death was unknown as of press time.
