STAFF REPORT

"Shankle Road is in dire need of having the potholes patched," said Phillip Langer.

"I hate to complain but I just received my tax appraisal from the county and I am at the point of not caring how I am coming across.

"My property taxes increased by 450 percent and the services."

Dodson said his road crews started filling potholes on parts of the 344 miles of roads he maintains.

"…The rain every four or five days has hurt our progress," Dodson said.

"I purchased an ejecto-bed asphalt truck from [the Texas Department of Transportation] and will have it in operation wit-hin 10 days.

"It will be more effective on the large, deep pot holes and speed up the operation.

"Precinct 2 has 344 miles of road to maintain or 22.9 miles per employee.

"With the rainy weather conditions we struggle to keep up."
