RED OAK - School officials in Red Oak denied an Internet-spread allegation a high school agricultural teacher and a high school police resource officer were caught on camera having sex.
Karen Miller, ROISD's director of public relations, was asked to confirm or deny an e-mail sent to The Ellis County Press stating a school employees was fired 'on the spot.'
'Deny!' is the one word reply Miller sent this newspaper.
So far, 2008 has been a busy year for the school's PR department.
An incident involving a teacher being arrested at her Red Oak elementary school for Garland-based drug allegations made regional headlines; school officials seized a substitute's computer and hard drive equipment after questionable items were downloaded; and recently, a bus driver was allegedly caught with beer in his possession during a Red Oak High School tennis match.
To date, school board trustees have not addressed these issues publicly.
Filing for the three school board seats ends on March 10.
