Candlelight Vigil slated for Dec. 9

WAXAHACHIE - A Candlelight Vigil of Remembrance and Hope to honor family members, friends and loved ones who were needlessly killed or injured by impaired drivers will be held Sunday, Dec. 9.
The 4 p.m. ceremony, sponsored by MADD-North Texas will be at the Rogers Hotel, 103 E. Main Street.
In 2006, 1,677 traffic fatalities involving alcohol occurred in Texas, making this the No. 1 state in the U.S. for drunk driving deaths.
