STAFF REPORT
ELLIS COUNTY - The first step a candidate must take is to file a treasurer's appointment, which will legally allow him or her to raise and spend money on behalf of the campaign. Research done by The Ellis County Press at the Ellis County Elections Department shows the following candidates have filed treasurer reports.

Note: Treasurer reporters are separate from actual candidate filings done with party chairmen. Sign-ups to run for office start Dec. 2 and end Jan. 2.
