Waxahachie attorney appointed to Commission for Lawyer Discipline

Austin - Ron Bunch of Waxahachie has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Texas Commission for Lawyer Discipline.
A private practice attorney with an emphasis in personal injury law, Bunch is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Ellis County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
He is a sustaining life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Bunch has served as president of the Ellis County Bar Association, chair of the State Bar Local Bar Services Committee, chair of the State Bar Administration Committee and as a member of the State Bar Board of Directors and Unauthorized Practice of Law Subcommittee.
He earned a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Baylor University.
The Commission for Lawyer Discipline reviews the structure, function and effectiveness of the attorney disciplinary system.
The Commission provides an annual report to the Supreme Court of Texas, the Texas Legislature and the State Bar Board of Directors on the state of the attorney discipline and disability system and makes recommendations for refinement and improvement to the system.
The Commission is composed of 12 members: six attorneys appointed by the State Bar president, and six public members appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas.
