The Ellis County Press
Ferris - Over the weekend several tombstones and flower vases were overturned and destroyed in the southwest corner of the Ferris Memorial Cemetery, according to the Bill Batchler, president of Ferris Memorial Parks Inc. and Ferris Police Chief Michael Braly.
The concession stand at the soccer field was also broken into. Braly said he feels the two incidents could be connected. Neither Ferris Memorial Parks Inc. nor the Soccer Association has set a dollar amount on the damage.
A reward has been offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the vandals of the cemetery.
If you have any information please call Ferris Police Chief Michael Braly at 972-544-2225.
