RED OAK - A real, old-fashioned circus, under the big top, complete with elephants, lions, tigers, trapeze artists, tightrope walkers, clowns and more will be in Red Oak on Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 6.
In celebration of their fifth anniversary, Red Oak Health & Rehabilitation Center is bringing the Culpepper & Mer-riweather Circus to their location along the service road of Interstate-35 just past Ovilla Road for four performances during the first weekend of October.
Roy Miller, administrator for Red Oak Health & Rehabilitation Center, personally invites the entire city and surrounding area to attend and join in the celebration.
'Red Oak has been a wonderful location for our facility. Between our residents, family members, staff and other local businesses we work with, we really know and love this city.
'The circus is going to be such a great way to recognize what Red Oak has been to us over the last five years by hosting this fun-for-everybody performance.
'We also want to give something back to the community to show our appreciation, so proceeds from tickets sales will go to help the North Ellis County Outreach and all the wonderful things they do to help needy families in the area.'
Showtimes are Friday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2 and 4:30 p.m.
Discount ticket prices prior to the shows are $8 for adults and $6 for children. Tickets bought at the gate will be $11 for adults and $7 for children.
Discount tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Brookshires Grocery Store, Red Oak Health & Rehabilitation Center and the North Ellis County Outreach office.
