Wilmer celebrating 25th Annual Pioneer Days this weekend

WILMER - Wilmer will celebrate its 25th Annual Pioneer Days Celebration this weekend with a carnival will kicking off the entire celebration on Thursday evening.
The Wilmer Pioneer Days Committee is encouraging everyone to come out and participate in this three-day festival.
Children and adults alike will enjoy the carnival brought by Blue Ribbon Entertainment.
Visitors can indulge in shopping from various vendors offering food, crafts and games.
Friday night's events will begin at 7 p.m. with a beauty pageant crowning 'Mr. and Miss Wilmer' of different age groups.
Followed by a performance by Frank Masterson and White Lightning on the gazebo from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Saturday morning will begin another eventful day with a parade at 10 a.m.
The parade route begins at the Adams Street Ballpark and winds through town, ending at the carnival.
The street dance held Saturday night at 8 p.m. will have a performance by the Danny Romo band.
The Legendary Elvis impersonator, Johnny Harra, will perform from 9:30 - 10:30.
