ENNIS - Officials at Ennis Regional Medical Center held a public open house for the new facility from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14.
There were plenty of things to keep visitors entertained, from guided tours of the new $35 million hospital to refreshments and hot dogs, fish fries and country music star Janie Fricke to supervised children's activities such as face painting and a petting zoo. 'We are very excited to have this time for the community to see this tremendous new facility,' said Ennis Regional CEO Dan McLean, 'The leaders and residents of the Ennis area are so supportive of the hospital and we felt it was important to let them get the first chance to see our new home. One of the most exciting things about this new hospital is the wide range of services and state-of-the-art technology that will be available right here in Ennis.'
The hospital will include 60 all-private rooms.
This state-of-the-art hospital also features a number of specialized units.
