MIDLOTHIAN - Hundreds of area residents showed up for the annual Fly-In Pancake Breakfast at Mid-Way Regional Airport on Saturday, June 3.
Conducted since 1997, the event is held each year to familiarize people with the airport and the services it has to offer the community.
In addition to the 'all you can eat' pancake breakfast, the event featured classic airplanes, including a number of vintage military aircraft and an exhibition of remote controlled model airplanes.
Many visitors took advantage of the opportunity to take a test flight in a single engine Cessna aircraft.
The musical entertainment was provided by The Classic Swing Band.
Everyone who showed up seemed to enjoy themselves and many had been to the breakfast in past year.
Mid-Way Regional Airport is owned by the cities of Midlothian and Waxahachie and is a public-use general aviation airport providing service to the residents of Ellis County and the surrounding area.
Everyone is welcome to check out the airport.
