Man stabbed and two hospitalized in Ennis

ENNIS - A robbery at the Quick Pick in Ennis left one man stabbed and another injured Monday morning, March 26.

The Ennis police report states Officer Donald Kemp was dispatched to the scene and found two victims injured in an aggravated robbery.

The two victims had parked on the side of the store and were returning to their vehicle when a car pulled up blocking their path.

The men told Kemp three black males began speaking with them and led to a fight.

One victim was struck in the head with an object and his wallet was taken once he was on the ground and the other victim was stabbed in the abdomen and his wallet was also taken.

Kemp stated the two victims drove themselves home and where taken to Ennis Regional Medical Center by one of their wives.

The two victims were released from the hospital on Tuesday and no suspects have been identified by the time of this publication.

Detective Sgt. John Erisman has reported through news outlets the victims lost more than $800 during the robbery.

The Ennis Police Department said if anyone knows anything about the robbery or anything related to the case, they should contact Sgt. Erisman at 972-875-4462.
