19-year-old arrested following Amber Alert

ITALY - Abram Jah-mar Toliver, a 19-year-old Dallas resident, is charged with sexual assault of a child and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

An Amber Alert had been issued in Italy on Monday, April 1 when a 16-year-old girl was abducted from her home, according to police.

Toliver was accused of abducting the young girl from her home in Italy and later dropping her off near Harris Road, where she found her way to the police station.

Soon after the girl was recovered, a vehicle matching the description of the one used in the abduction was spotted on I-35, where Ellis County sheriff's deputies pulled the car over and took Toliver into custody.

Toliver was being held at the Wayne McCollum Detention Center in Waxahachie on these charges with a total bond of $12,500.
