FERRIS - The Ferris FFA is holding its annual stock project Saturday March 24, beginning at 9 a.m.
David McGee, who teaches the agriculture class at Ferris High School, said, 'We have 65 head of livestock in the show this year.'
There will be a total of eight divisions including market goats, market hogs, market steers, market lambs, beef heifers, long horn cattle, rabbits and a shop show.
The shop show will display some wood working items along with barbecue pits and one of those barbecue pits will be auctioned off.
'We have a silent auction planned as a fundraiser and everything will be laid out in the auction barn,' said McGee.
McGee said breakfast burritos would available at 8 a.m. along with a barbecue throughout the run of the show beginning around lunch time and everyone was invited to come early.
The shop show may be a little short of items because, according to McGee, they were really concentrating on the county show next week.
'The Ellis County Expo is one of the best I have been involved with,' said McGee.
