19-year-old charged with intoxication manslaughter

PALMER - A 19-year-old male was arrested in Palmer on intoxication manslaughter charges following a single-car accident which killed his passenger.

According to the Ellis County District Attorney's office, Joshuah T. Harper has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after his vehicle ran off the road in January just south of FM 813 in Palmer.

Harper was arrested on Feb. 15 after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Harper's alleged victim, a 19-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators would not release the name of the victim until parent notification had been confirmed.

Harper received unknown injuries.

This case was still under investigation by the Ellis County District Attorney's office.
