WAXAHACHIE - The Ellis County Master Gardeners have invited all lawn and garden related businesses to participate in the 2007 Lawn & Garden Expo, hosted by the Ellis County Master Gardeners.

The Expo will be Saturday, March 17 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Waxahachie Civic Center.

'This show has grown from a few hundred visitors six years ago to upwards of 4,000 this past year,' said Pam Daniel, who is coordinating the Expo this year for the Master Gardener program.

'The Expo is a great opportunity for individuals in Ellis County who enjoy gardening to come out and see what our local businesses have to offer,' said Daniel.

'It also offers our exhibitors a great forum for showcasing what products they have as well as to provide a preview of what is new on the market.'

Keynote speakers include author and radio-personality Neil Sperry, Dr. Steve George of Texas A&M and Dotty Woodson, local television and radio personality with Texas Cooperative Extension.

Presentations will also be made by several Ellis County Master Gardeners with specialized training and new this year a Children's Gardening Workshop featuring hands-on learning.

Applications and booth guidelines can be picked up at the Texas Cooperative Extension office at 701 South I-35E, Waxahachie or call James Kocian at 972.814.0699.
