Ennis man stabbed by wife

ENNIS - A domestic dispute turned violent Thursday, Feb. 1, when a man was taken to the Ennis Regional Medical Center and claimed he had been assaulted by his wife.
Officer Julia Pillow was dispatched to the medical center where the victim said during a domestic dispute with his wife and while he was lying in bed, he was hit with some keys and then stabbed with a steak knife.
The police then went to the residence and approached the woman, who they reportedly admitted to stabbing the man and turned the weapon over to police.
Jessie Lee Reed, 54, of Ennis was then charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Hutchins.
Her bond was set at $11,000 and the husband was treated and released.
