FERRIS - Practices have begun for the Ferris Community Choir presentation of 'The Glory of Christmas - Experience the Season,' under the direction of Pastor Bob Mashburn of the Ferris Baptist Fellowship.
'It is our goal to have over 100 voices from the Ferris area to join together to celebrate ‘The Glory of Christmas' in song and drama,' said Cynthia Hamm.
The presentation is to showcase music from the 50's along with favorite, traditional Christmas carols.
The performances were set for Friday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2.
Practices were currently being held each Sunday night at 5 p.m. in Ferris, as well as a few Thursday nights.
The Community Choir was still looking for soloists, narrators, a children's ensemble, dancer and/or choreographer, jitterbug couple, youth groups, videographer and members for the lights, sound and stage crew.
Residents can contact Hamm at 214-532-9175 for more information.
