FERRIS - After 14 years in the same location, The Ellis County Press is upgrading its facilities by moving into a new building.

Since 1992 Ellis County's premiere weekly newspaper has been located at 213 W. Sixth Street in Ferris' historic downtown district.

The building, previously owned by Marietta Allen, was recently sold to Michelle Andrews, owner of Dent Med Staffing and Training Academy for Dental Assistants, LLC.

Andrews currently trains dental assistants in the suite above the ECP. The training academy will expand its classes to the lower suite.

Starting Oct. 2, the award-winning newspaper will operate out of their new facilities at 208 Central in Ferris, still in the downtown area, next door to Big Time Computer Outlet.
