WAXAHACHIE - Waxahachie High school freshman football player Cory Wallace was recovering from an injury received during an early morning practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Wallace was Care Flited to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas after losing feeling on his right side of his body.
'He lost feeling in his arms and legs on the right side,' Waxahachie Independent School District spokesperson Nicole Mansell said.
It was unknown what caused Wallace to lose the feeling in his limbs, but his CAT scan was negative with no permanent damage in his brain.
Wallace was placed in the intensive care unit for observation Wednesday night, but Mansell said by the next afternoon some sensation had returned to his right side.
'He had regained feeling in his right arm/leg all the way to his toes,' she said.
