Pioneer Day is an all-day festival honoring the founding families of Ferris.
A parade will began at 10 a.m. including the high school marching band, floats from area churches and local businesses.
The parade will begin and end at the Ferris Junior High to make it easier on parents who need to pick up their children who participate in the parade.
This year, residents will be entertained with a sheep-herding demonstration during the parade, parade coordinator Cheree' Barrett said.
The Green-family horses will make an appearance in this year's parade.
The 2003 Ferris Pioneers, John and Daphine Savell, will be honored as grand marshals at the gazebo after riding in the parade in a convertible.
