Arrest made in pornography case

MIDLOTHIAN - After asking the media and public for help in locating a man suspected of child pornography, Midlothian police have arrested William Austin Campbell, 42, of Midlothian Tuesday about 8:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Valley View in Red Oak with assistance from Red Oak Police Department.
Justice of the Peace, Pct. 4, Linda Sibley set bail for Campbell at $100,000 during his arraingement.
Campbell will be charged with 'possession or promotion of child pornography, ' a third degree felony, which carries a possibility of imprisonment of up to 10 years and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

'This is going to be a long pain staking investigation,' Detective Brian Woolery of the Midlothian Police Department said.
He was arrested June 20 on an outstanding warrant in Dallas County for indecent exposure.
Police officials later obtained a search warrant for his residence.
During the search police discovered less than two ounces of marijuana and thousands of pictures of nude female children, appearing to be between 11 and 16 years of age on his computer's hard drives, and CD-ROM's.
The hard drives and CD-ROMs were sent to the FBI Forensic Computer Lab in Irving for further analysis.
'We looked at one CD that contained over 10,000 images,' Detective Brian Woolery of the Midlothian Police Department said.
Cole commended Dallas-Ft. Worth television newscasts for assisting in the capture of Campbell by running his picture and description.
'They were instrumental in us finding him,' Cole said, 'The TV stations should be commended for a job well done.'
