Firework shows planned

ELLIS COUNTY - Several cities will be holding fireworks shows and festivities as part of the July 4 holiday weekend.

Those events are listed below.


Bristol 4th

Bristol will have its annual Fourth of July festivities downtown and at the community center located just off Union Hill Road. A parade will start off the day at 10 a.m. and be followed by food and craft booths, fun and games. Fireworks will start around 8 p.m.


Midlothian

The annual Fourth of July festivities in Midlothian will be held at Don Floyd Memorial Stadium on Walter Stephenson Road. Games, fun and food will be available to the public. Fireworks will start around dark.


Waxahachie

The Crape Myrtle Festival and Driving Trail will be Thursday and Friday in Waxahachie. Dallas Wind Symphony and the HEB Fireworks Show, presented by the Waxahachie Symphony Association, will be 8 p.m., July 3, at Lumpkins Stadium. Activities include a craft show, parade, food and fun at Getzendaner Park. For more information, call 972-938-9617.
