ENNIS - An orange two-year-old cat named Golden, owned by The Ellis County Press writer Jim Williams is missing after it jumped out of his van near the Blockbuster video store in Ennis. The cat, a tabby, has short hair and is 'well fed.'
Williams said the cat jumped into the van he and his wife, Ana Maria, own when they left the windows down on Dec. 14. When Williams' wife opened the door to go into the bank, the cat jumped out.
'He's so quiet. If it had been our other cat, we would have heard her. She meows all the time,' Williams said.
His owner describes him as being an unusual cat, one who likes water.
'He loves water. He gets in the tub and drinks water from the faucet. He doesn't mind getting his feet wet,' Williams said.
Anyone with information about the cat is urged to contact The Ellis County Press office at (972) 544-2369. 'In the spirit of Christmas, would you please return him,' Williams said.
