DESOTO - A man found dead in his south DeSoto home shot himself, authorities said Monday. Christopher Singleton, 36, was dead when officers entered the home in the 500 block of Saddle Head Drive, near Westmoreland Road Sunday night, but according to DeSoto PD Investigator Mike Sharp, another man was also shot, but was taken to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas where he is being treated in the intensive care unit.
Sharp said he's still investigating how the second man was wounded, but evidence of 'drug use' was also found, but authorities don't know of it had anything to do with the shootings. Many DeSoto residents near the neighborhood said they were shocked because of the area's relatively low crime rate and peaceful atmosphere.
