WAXAHACHIE - Superintendent Bobby Parker Jr. recently named Debbie Timmermann as Waxahachie Junior High principal, replacing Tom McLemore who was placed on administrative leave with pay in November.
Tom McLemore is brother of WISD Athletic Director Jerry McLemore.
Candace Ahlfinger, spokesperson for the WISD, said there weren't any disciplinary measures involved in the decision. Ahlfinger said none were necessary.
Tom McLemore will be administrative assistant to business operations.
McLemore will report to Dan Davis, assistant superintendent for facilities and business operations.
Ahlfinger said McLemore has been working on Marvin and the new Ninth Grade Center.
She said he will work with all principals and teachers with items they need.
Ahlfinger said McLemore's new position is important.
She said his supervising these details would make a difference in planning and opening those facilities.
Ahlfinger said she was confident Timmermann and McLemore would do a great job.
Timmermann is in her second year at the junior high.
She has served as acting principal since November. Prior to that Timmerman, who has a master's degree, was an assistant principal at the junior high.
Before going to the junior high, she was principal at Northside Elementary in Waxahachie.
