PALMER — City officials have announced they will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 28 to benefit Officer Armitage who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

The event, featuring a fish fry, will be held at Palmer Middle School and will begin at 6 p.m. The cost will be $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Live music will be provided by Blue Diamond. The event will also include an auction and a 'best dessert' contest. Contestants may enter at the door. All desserts will be judged and then sold.

Also at the event, a dollar will buy an opportunity to dunk individual members of the city council in whipped cream pies. Four dollars will dunk the whole council. There will be a raffle for one chance to dunk the city secretary, Margaret Rhodes.

All proceeds will be directed toward Armitage's expenses during his treatment. Send donations to Palmer Police Association, Officer Armitage Fund, P.O. Box 489, Palmer, TX, 75152.
