NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

ELLIS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT

 

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the Ellis County Commissioners Court will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., in the Historic Ellis County Courthouse, Commissioners’ Courtroom (2nd flr), 101 W. Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas at which time the following will be discussed and considered, to-wit:

ADMINISTRATIVE

 

2.1       Consideration and action to approve an addendum to the Master Services Agreement (Contract Number LGS03-0019) between Ellis County and Local Government Solutions, originally approved pursuant to Minute Order 543.02 in 2002 and Minute Order 558.02 in 2003, to enhance data processing services provided by Local Government Solutions to the Ellis County and District Attorney’s Office.

2.2       Consideration and action to award the Request for Competitive Sealed Proposal for Design and Modification for Repairs of VHF Radio System for Ellis County, Texas (Bid # 2012-004) to BearCom, based on the recommendation from the Ellis County Radio Committee and the County’s consultant, Tim Driscoll from RCC Consulting, Inc., and authorize the County Judge to sign Contract Agreement 2012-004.

2.3       Consideration and action as may be necessary to adopt a Fund Balance Policy as required by Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statement 54.

2.4       Consideration and action to enact the Ellis County Burn Ban effective immediately.

RECESS TO CONVENE TO EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

 

EXECUTIVE SESSION     

 

“The Commissioners’ Court of Ellis County reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed in this agenda, in the order deemed appropriate, as authorized by Texas Government Code 551, or to seek the advice of its attorney and/or other attorneys representing Ellis County on any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the Commissioners’ Court under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Texas Government Code Chapter 551 or as otherwise may be permitted under 551.”

 

3.1       Pursuant to Section 551.072 of the Government Code, consultation with counsel regarding the                 possible sale or lease of real property   “if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental             effect on the position of the governmental body in negotiations with a third person.”
