DALLAS – Weather permitting, the westbound mainlanes of I-30 at the St. Francis Street bridge will be closed nightly from Friday, Jan. 13 through Monday, Jan. 16, so repairs can be made to four bridge beams that were damaged when an oversized truck struck the bridge on Dec. 6.

The I-30 westbound mainlanes will be closed from:

  • 9 p.m. Friday Jan. 13 through 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.
  • 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 through 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15.
  • 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 through 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16.

The bridge will be closed continuously from 9 a.m. Friday morning, Jan. 13 through 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16.

Motorists traveling westbound on I-30 will be diverted to the frontage road at the St. Francis Street exit and re-enter I-30 at Jim Miller. Motorists traveling westbound on U.S. 80 will be diverted to the frontage road at the Buckner Boulevard exit and will re-enter the highway at Jim Miller.

Gibson Construction was awarded the $140,000 emergency contract to repair the bridge. TxDOT thanks motorists for their continued patience as crews work hard to complete this repair as soon, and as safely, as possible.
