City to require garage sale permit

MIDLOTHIAN - Recent changes were made to the city of Midlothian’s garage sale ordinance. 

A permit is now required before any yard sale is to occur. 

The permit number must be present on any signs advertising the garage/yard sale as well. 

Permits are $5 and available at the code enforcement department.

After the permit has been purchased, the city will post your garage sale information on a calendar of events on their website, www.midlothian.tx.us/, as well as their facebook page. 

Only four permits per household will be allowed during the year.
