Double homicide; $5,000 reward offered
LANCASTER- A double homicide on the 500 block of W. Rea Avenue during the holidays has left Lancaster Police Department seeking the public’s help and is partnering with the North Texas Crime Stoppers to offer a $5,000 cash reward.
At 6:34 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, LPD received a 9-1-1 call in reference to a shooting at a residence on W. Rea Avenue.
The caller, inside the residence at the time of the call, stated two men had entered the home and started shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Roberto Galvan and his 57-year-old mother, Alma Guererro, dead. According to LPD, Galvan had been shot multiple times and Guererro only once.
During the investigation, detectives learned masked gunmen kidnapped Galvan’s father and brother outside the home as they were leaving for work before gunmen entered the home and shot and killed the two other family members.

Callers with information in reference to the homicide can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward up to $5,000 if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of the person(s) responsible.
