Members of the Ferris & Red Oak Police Departments partnered with North Ellis County Outreach to collect toys and gifts for children of less fortunate families. On Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 17 the toys and many other items were distributed to families in need throughout North Ellis County, including 12 families from Ferris. Pictured above are: Ferris Chief Sam Love, Red Oak Sgt. Sgt. Marc Schroeder, Denise Butler, Executive Director of N. Ellis County Outreach, Ferris Officer Lizzy Gentry, Ferris Officer Chris Ellis, Ferris Officer Ernesto Fierro, Red Oak Officer Fernando Caballero and Red Oak Officer Nathan Bickerstaff. Officer Damon Hooper and Investigator Gator Weiss also helped but were not pictured.
