NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Wilmer has been made aware of the Texas Capital Fund Program administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture. It is the intent of the City to consider an application for grant assistance under the 2010 Texas Capital Fund Program.
One public hearing will be held. The hearing has been called for Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wilmer Community Center, 101 Davidson Plaza, Wilmer, Texas, 75172 to provide information regarding the following topics:
The development of housing and community development needs.
The amount of funding available.
All eligible activities under the Texas Community Development Program.
The applicant use of past TCDP contract funds, if applicable.
The estimated amount of funds proposed for activities that will meet the national objective of benefit to low and moderate income persons.
The plans of the locality to minimize displacement of persons and to assist persons actually displaced as a result of activities assisted with TCDP funds, if applicable.
Citizens, with particular emphasis on persons of low to moderate income who are residents of slums or blighted areas, shall be encouraged to submit their views and proposals regarding community development and housing needs.
Please notify the City if assistance can be furnished to any persons with disabilities that wish to attend this hearing.
Persons who are unable to attend this hearing may submit written comments to Wilmer City Hall, 128 North Dallas Ave, Wilmer, TX 75172.
The application will be available for public review beginning on February 11, 2010 from 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm.
