FERRIS – On July 1, 2008 the Ferris Police Department was called to the corner of Weatherford Street and Oak Street in reference to a stone grave marker being found in a vacant lot.

The tombstone is engraved with the name "E. Winston" and dates of "1856-1924."

It is broke off of its base.

After contacting the area funeral homes and cemeteries we have been unable to find the location where it belongs.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Sam Love, investigator, at 972-544-2092 reference case #200800423.
