SATURDAY, MAY 9 GENERAL ELECTIONS turnout was fairly low all across Ellis/Southern Dallas counties. The upset in Wilmer over the new slate of council has been apparent but the victory has as well. The battle over new/old will still be going on not only there but in many other cities. Midlothian candidate Hank Miller Jr. beat out old timer Wayne Sibley and Kelly Jacobson lost any seat he could have had in Maypearl. Buck Werner and Paul Ford lost election in Duncanville with Dorothy Burton and Anthony Skinner pulling off a win in those two races. Clean slate of candidates for Lancaster Independent School District and Ovilla beating out all incumbents.
