 A 33-year-old Red Oak man lost control of his 1986 Chevrolet Astro Van smashing through the wall of the Hair Studio at 321 S. Hwy 342 on Thursday, April 30, at 1:55 p.m. according to Red Oak Police Department.

Four employees were working at the time of the accident and were able to escape without injury.

What started as he lost control driving through the parking lot of a gas station located on the corner of Red Oak Road and Hwy 342, struck an unoccupied Dodge passenger car before making his way through the Hair Salon.

 The 33-year-old was extricated from the van by the Red Oak Fire Rescue and East Texas Medical Service ambulance personnel then quickly transported to Baylor Waxahachie for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

ROPD is currently conducting an investigation for the cause of this event.
