FERRIS - Fred Allen Cole Sr., 58, left this Earth to be with our Lord on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009.
Fred was born on Sept. 7, 1951 in Columbus, Ga. He moved to Texas with his family in 1962 and called it home ever since. He worked as a carpenter and spent most of his free time with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, listening to country music, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his daughters Amy Smith and Melissa Woodruff; son Allen Cole; mother Shirley Stringfield; sisters Ann Swenson and Tina Baker; brothers Luke Cole, Rex Cole, James Stringfield, Randy Stringfield; and grandchildren Abbey Cole, Mikayla Cole, Ryan Roden, and Dylan Woodruff. He is preceded in death by his father Lucious Melton Cole; sister Linda Mayo; and brother Ronnie Stringfield.
A memorial service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, in the chapel of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
