FERRIS - Funeral services for Pauline "Polly" Loyd, 76 of Kamay, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Holliday with Micky Miller officiating.

Born Dec. 28, 1931 in Ferris, the daughter of John H. Hamm and Zeta May Denny Hamm, she passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 in Wichita Falls.

She was a graduate of Ferris High School and then attended the University of North Texas. In early 1950, she met the love of her life, Raymond LaMoyne Loyd and was married Nov. 9, 1950 in Ferris. As a military wife, she traveled to many countries as well as state side bases including Wichita Falls. She moved to Kamay in 1967. She was a homemaker and loved cake decorating.

She was a member of Mankins Baptist Church where she taught the ladies Sunday school class.

She is survived by her husband Raymond of Kamay; son Gary Loyd and wife Rita of Ferris; two daughters Kathy Spence and husband Randy of Kenosha and Becky Hastings and husband Greg of Kamay; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Interment followed in the Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
