Veterans Were Honored During the Annual Independence Day Parade Saturday, July 2 with a standing ovation and cheers all throughout downtown Waxahachie. Pictured: Lt. Harry Hitt, U.S. Army tank commander, waving to the crowd. Hitt was awarded a battlefield commission during the Battle of the Bulge and the Belgian Croix de Guere medal (Cross of War) during his time serving our country.
