RED OAK - Buddy Groom field was the site of a three-way "mini scrimmage" Friday, Feb. 19.

Just like the Hawks, all the local area teams are trying to get some games in between all the snow and rain as season play is upon them.

The Hawks hosted The Colony Cougars in a five inning scrimmage and although umpires were calling balls and strikes, no official score was kept.

The Cougars found a couple of gaps in the first inning, but the Hawks pitching settled down late in the inning and it became a defensive ball game from there.

The second game was between Duncanville and The Colony and the third and final game on the night was the Hawks vs. Duncanville.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and season play can get started this week.
