RED OAK - The Hawks hosted the Mabank Panthers on Tuesday, Feb. 2 in a District match up.

This game was only close at the tip-off. After that is was all Hawks, I mean ALL Hawks.

They scored inside, outside, three point line and even slammed down a couple of dunks.

Mabank was out manned and out hustled by a faster and more physical Hawks’ team.

The Hawks had five players in double digit scoring on the night.

The varsity team easily defeated Mabank 93-68.

The varsity team also knocked off Terrell last Friday night and are currently in third place in District 15-4A.

The Hawks know have two tough district games left against Mesquite Poteet at home on Friday 2-12 and their final regular season game at Forney on 2-16.

The JV squad didn’t mess around either during their game and soundly beat the JV Panthers 97-42.

The freshman team didn’t fare as well.

They had a small lead late into the fourth, but only to see Mabank come back and beat them on a last second three point shot and lost 62-63.
