FERRIS - The Lady Yellow Jackets came out stinging in the first set of play against the Palmer Lady Bulldogs.

A lack of teamwork and communication on the Palmer side allowed Ferris to easily take the first set, 25-3. Palmer was able to bounce back well in the second set.

The Lady Bulldogs came together as a team working on each player’s strengths instead of weaknesses.

They were able to match Ferris point for point until the very last when several returns to Ferris were hit out of bounds allowing the Lady Jackets to take the second set, 25-22.

Although both teams looked tired during the third set, neither side was ready to give up the fight.

A string of small mistakes for Ferris allowed the Bulldogs to take a sizeable lead a good majority of the set.

Ferris evened the score late in the set and were able to overtake the Bulldogs again, 25-20.
