The Palmer Bulldogs are going through a lot of firsts this season.

This is the first year for new head coach Scott who comes to Palmer from West to replace Coach Garrison who moved up to assistant principal of the high school.

The Bulldogs are beginning their first season without key starters Jarrett Stone and Jordan Greenlee, but have faith in newly appointed starting quarterback T.J. Barnes and senior transfer Trenton Harris from Blooming Grove.

Barnes hopes to keep step with Stone’s accomplishments from last year and both he and Harris have high expectations for the team.

The Bulldogs start their season at home against Lone Oak on Aug. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
