Like father, like son; Narcotics investigation leads to 2 arrests
RED OAK - The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit and the Red Oak Police Department concluded a month long investigation with the execution of a narcotics search warrant at 1200 West Red Oak Road Saturday, June 11.
Investigators found nine pounds of marijuana, a loaded handgun and just under a gram of crack cocaine.
Gilbert Argumaniz and his son, Gilbert Argumaniz Jr. were arrested without incident at the residence.
Argumaniz, 56, was charged with delivery of marijuana, over five pounds, under 50 pounds and possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, under one gram.
Argumaniz Jr., 20, was charged with delivery of marijuana, over five pounds, under 50 pounds.
According to the Ellis County Sheriff Office, they each received two bonds. One for $50,000 and one for $5,000.
Both men are currently being held at the Wayne McCollum Detention Center in Waxahachie.
