Red Oak ISD Child Care Conference June 18

The 2nd annual ROISD Child Care Conference will be held this year at the ROHS Performing Arts Center on June 18. The time is 8 a.m.-12: p.m. The free child care conference will help local child care providers meet their yearly training requirements.

This year’s conference has been designed to provide relevant information about practice, policies, planning, and research that enhances community partnerships and quality in early care and education. The conference will be an opportunity to network with other professionals and participate in a diverse array of early childhood education discussions.

 

Conference Objectives

 

 

1.Promote effective and positive practices when working with children and families.

 

2.Share information regarding community collaboration.

 

3.Provide networking opportunities for the early childhood community.

 

4.Create an opportunity for early childhood programs to better understand each other through common experiences.

 

5.Create an environment that fosters collaboration within the early care and education community.

Session speakers will include:

 

Chief Scott Lindsey, ROISD Police Dept

 

Jane Hilburn, M.Ed, Scholastic, Inc. Pre K Specialist

 

Donna Knight, ROISD Student and Family Services

 

Kelly Hale, M.Ed, MRT, Desoto ISD Literacy Coach

 

Laurie Phares, ROISD Director of Child Care Services
