Updated Breaking: Man search in Ferris

 An aggravated robbery has caused a man hunt for Ferris and Wilmer Police Departments.

As of 8:40 p.m. on Business 45, the Ellis County Sheriff Office is assiting in a search for the missing subject.

No identy has been released at this time.

According to ECSO, Ferris Police needed assistance in capturing an aggravated robber going towards the Old Ferris Brickyard.

More details to come.

Updated: ECSO K-9 unit just caught the guy about 10 minutes past 9 p.m. Thursday, June 2.

Updated: According to Ferris Police Chief Sam Love, three black males targeted a woman and her son, who was feeding his animals at the Ferris AG Barn, asked for her money and purse or they were going to shoot. No display of a weapon was ever shown. One male got away by foot and was caught under the 10 Mile Creek Bridge with the help of several local area agencies.
