WAXAHACHIE - Antique vendors in historic Downtown Waxahachie will host a parking lot sale on Saturday, May 21, 2011, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Rogers and Jefferson Streets.

“These vendors will be showcasing some great antiques and collectibles, and they will have terrific special prices as well,” said Diana Buckley, a vendor from My Father’s House Antique Mall at 300 S. Rogers.  “The Farmers’ Market will also be open, a block away, on the historic Courthouse square.”

The Farmers’ Market, which will celebrate its grand opening for the 2011 season on that date, is open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“There will be vendors from My Father’s House and from the Gingerbread Antique Mall,” Buckley added.  “Both the stores will still be open, of course, as will the several other wonderful stores in our historic downtown.”

Eateries in the area include Riley’s Bakery inside My Father’s House Antique Mall, Dove’s Nest, Chantilly Place, Plato Loco, Two Amigos Taqueria, and the Chisholm Grill, which has recently re-opened inside the Rogers Hotel.
