Texas Public Policy Foundation’s to air statewide television commercials
The battle of the Texas state budget has reached a critical stage. That’s why, for the first time in the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s 22-year history, we are reaching out directly to the people of Texas on statewide television.
With the support of freedom lovers like you, today we released seven new commercials on the Texas state-budget debate, to be aired in cities across Texas from May 5th through 11th. It is imperative that we tell the real story of the state budget battle — and encourage our leaders to pass a conservative budget that protects Texas’ vibrant economy.
Among the commercials are two featuring the return of former U.S. Sen. Phil Gramm to the television airwaves, and one in Spanish featuring the president of the San Antonio Tea Party.
This statewide release of ten commercials – seven new plus three run only in Austin the preceding week – is an expanded effort in the Foundation's public engagement in the state budget debate.
