Deputy Lori McKenzie Remembered

Deputy Lori McKenzie remembered as Ellis County Sheriff Johnny Brown and Sgt. Matt Murrey pay respect near her patrol car at the First United Methodist Church in Joshua, Friday, April 22. McKenzie came to work for the Ellis County Sheriff Office in 2004 as a detention officer where she then went to the police academy and obtained her state peace officer license. McKenzie became a patrol deputy in March 2009 and died at JPS hospital after a brief illness on Tuesday, April 19.

being the son of a cop is never easy but it also makes life so much easeir than not having a cop around to help you mom i miss you more and more every day you are my world i love you more than anyone alive can ever imagine i miss you so much i hope one day i will be able to see you and give you a hug again!!!
