Mr.Sandman, nab me a thief; Burglar arrested after found asleep in complainants car

WAXAHACHIE –Chris White, 35, is not your typical run and hide thief.

According to police reports, White was arrested Sunday, April 17, on the 300 block of East Criddle Street awakened by a cop and handcuffs.

Waxahachie Police Department dispatched an officer around 11 a.m. in reference to an unknown person sleeping in a vehicle.

According to the home owner, when she got in her vehicle parked under the car port, she noticed a man sleeping in the backseat and called police.

During the time the officer removed White,  the home owners missing belongings were found in the floor board of her vehicle where White was asleep.

A screw driver, nail, CB antenna with magnetic base and connector wire and nail were discovered.

The home owner reported someone had been in the carport store closet because the light was on and those items found had been in the closet.

White was arrested on burglary of habitation charges and sits at the Ellis County jail on a $20,000 bond.
